Tim Thomas is A trainwreck. He only came out of his bunker because Jon Stewart is on the 3 month vacation from The Daily Show and he felt that it was time that he could come out and try to marryGreta Van Susteren |

What are the implications if the Islanders sign him? I know they're not going to toll his deal so he will become a UFA. Do the Isles have to give the Bruins a draft pick if they sign Thomas? If Thomas plays for anyone this season, does Thomas cost the Isles a draft pick? |

Dee Karl: A Goalie Named Thomas
He's BAAAACCCCKKKKK - Dee Karl
For a team that was chided for having three goalies and a crowded crease to go to having no NHL starting goalie is a bit surprising
Is it really Dee? |

Thomas will sign with the Flyers... 2 years, 6 million!!!
Nabby will be back for one more season... split the games with Poulin. |

Once he hits free agency, I believe all bets are off.
Conditional pick only applied while he was Islanders "property." |

Your reasoning makes sense but I'm hoping for a younger goalie and a few free agent pickups... |

I would Heff to think Snow talks to Bryz as well... |

If there is one team who should have went out and got Schneider, it was philly. That team has been a goalie away from greatness for sooooo long. Paul Holmgren is an idiot. |

Beginning to see that more and more. The Streit signing sealed it for me. |

I wouldn't be surprised. I would be unhappy but not surprised.
Goalie market dwindling. Not locking Nabby up when he had the chance could come back to haunt him or cost more $$$$. Since Garth always cites he does his due diligence, I wonder if he even spoke with Tim Thomas' agent at some point after the season ended, as was his right to do so- just to get a tempreature of what TT might want or to gauge interest in playing on LI. |

Just resign Nabby.....he likes the team, had 2nd highest number of wins this year (tied with a couple guys) and is dependable. If you can make a trade later on do it, got to keep moving forward this year. Id rather Nabby then a UFA signing like Jose Theodore...and it feels that's where we are headed. |

Arthur Staple @StapeNewsday
Source close to Danny Briere says #Isles among teams interested. Briere will choose finalists soon. "Wants a top-6 spot, wants to win."
Maybe he can teach Frans how to crosscheck his own head so Briere doesn't have to do it going forward. |

By not tolling his contract or trading his rights the conditional pick is void. Thomas is a free man.

I would imagine approximately zero NHL teams considered offering a tryout to a retired goaltender with no right hip that wasn't very good to begin with. |

No, if we sign him for next season we owe the Bruins nothing.
